Twice in one day!

So, what is going to make the novel work this time? I think I have struggled with the validity of some of the details in my book. (For example I don't have time research the exact process of a legal deposition). . .so I had a major revelation. Include more of what I do know A LOT about.

I am an Occupational Therapist. . . or I should say I have a degree in OT. I worked in the field for 5 years before becoming a stay at home mom and office manager for the studio. Then I went back a couple of years ago (thought I was ready) and spent a year and a half working in a school system. It was tough to go back . . .on everyone, my family especially. I finally realized that I just wasn't enjoying the profession any longer and needed to put it behind me.

But, I still have all that knowledge locked away. Why not include some of that in my story (after all my parents did spend all that money on 5 years of college)? I especially like Neurology and was pretty good at it. I was one of few in my class who could remember the function of the hippocampus, medulla oblongata and peduncle. Of course I may need some refreshers, but all that information is stored in my brain somewhere. Thus, the big idea was born and the re-write has begun.

Tune in for bits and pieces of the novel. . .what is it about? I'm not ready to share that info yet!

Better go be a good mom and finish vacuuming the house and feed Kylie some lunch. She has preschool this afternoon. While she's at school I need to stop by the office and run a few other errands. . .maybe have time to work in the yard (grass is getting long. . .what will the new neighbors think???) Then when Melanie gets home from school (first grade) we will take her to gymnastics, maybe out for pizza, then to see Seusical the Musical at Melanie's school with some friends.

Have a GREAT Day!

Well, leave me off the list of people remembering the function of the hippocampus. But I do know five flexor tendon protocols. Am I getting any credit here?

I am so proud of you for following your dreams! And I still am waiting on my re-written copy of the first novel, since I never could open the file on the first disk you made.
